Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (Carf)
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is an independent, non-profit organization that accredits health and human services providers. CARF accreditation is a recognition of an organization’s commitment to providing high-quality, customer-focused services. Accreditation is awarded based on an organization’s demonstrated compliance with CARF standards, which cover areas such as program quality, customer satisfaction, and resource management.
CARF accreditation comes from a comprehensive review and evaluation process, which includes on-site surveys and interviews with staff and customers.
Accreditation from CARF is widely recognized as a hallmark of quality and is used by many healthcare payers and regulatory bodies as a measure of an organization’s performance and quality.

The licensing process helps to ensure that addiction treatment centers in California provide safe and effective care, and that they meet established standards for the delivery of quality services.
