Dialectical Behavior Therapy:
Finding the Synthesis Between the Trinity of Christianity and the Triad of Evil
October 12, 2020 11:00am – 12:30pm
Zoom Meeting via Covenant Hills Treatment Center
Licensed psychotherapist, Lisa Bahar explores the challenges Christians are facing when forced to walk the middle path as a way to find the dialectical synthesis of being in this world, but not of this world. The dialectic is to create the synthesis between two opposing forces, the Trinity of Christianity: God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and the triumvirate of evil: Satan, the anti-Christ and the false prophet.
How do Christians balance both worlds? DBT offers skills to decrease the emotion mind reactivity by accessing the Wise Mind practice and drawing upon the Holy Spirit, to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ and Almighty God, who remains in control. We are reminded there is nothing to fear and to remain under His protection as promised in Psalm 91: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
